Grandparents are AWESOME!

Ryan's parents came down to Houston the week before Thanksgiving. It was so fun to see them! We did lots of fun things with them, including going to the Oil Ranch, the San Jacinto Monument and the Battleship Texas. Mostly it was just fun to be with them and have the girls enjoy their awesome grandparents. Here, Keira rides a pony at the Oil Ranch. She and Nya LOVE horses. Nya got to milk a cow for the first time! She didn't do it for long--not sure she's meant to be a farmer. She said it felt funny.

There was an inflatable play thing that the girls really loved and spent quite a bit of time in. I just wished for a bench nearby! Here is Keira hanging--she loves hanging!

The girls played hide and seek!

Ryan couldn't quite resist jumping in and as no one was around to say no, he jumped in for fun with the girls.

We were startled by a loud, "gobble gobble" and turned around to find a turkey friend. How perfect for Thanksgiving!

The girls LOVE their Grandma Andersen! Here they are in front of the San Jacinto Monument. We went all the way up to the top and looked out over the Houston ship canal and over to the Battleship Texas.

And here is the Battleship Texas. I haven't been here since I was about 7 maybe, and I was surprised to find it just as interesting as before. It was really fun to walk all around and down the ship. It has been sitting here as a museum for years. Really fascinating--the kids really liked it too.

The girls had a lot of fun swiveling around the guns. They had to sit on every gun we came across.

Down in the ship, Ryan couldn't quite resist lying in the bunks...which, of course, Keira had to follow Daddy's example!

Thanks again Andersens for coming to visit! We love you and had so much fun! The girls really miss their grandparents and we treasure every moment we got to spend with them!
