Sorry, the pics of Keira's BDay are all out of order, but our internet isn't working, so I am at a library and ultimately think it is more important to get the pics up than in order as I have limited time. OUR LITTLE GIRL IS ONE YEAR OLD! We can't believe it! We had a nice quiet BDay for her just with our little family. We opened presents on the lawn, because being outside is by far her favorite thing right now. She always grabs my hand with her little hand and pulls me--she is actually pretty strong--towards the door. She could be outside all day long just running around and playing. Above, she is playing with a bag of candy from Grandma. She may have been more interested in all the packaging than the presents, ripping paper was possibly her favorite part of opening the presents.
Wow all this paper and Mommy doesn't even care if I rip it up! Yea! 
Here you see that she is certainly more interested in the paper than what might be in the box. I love one year olds! So sweet!
Yummy cake! Nya loved the celebrations just as much as Keira. She helped open presents and blow out candles.
"Here's some for you Mom!" She loves sharing everything she has in her hands. She gives things to me, of course expects them back, but loves for me to touch or eat what she is eating too. Nice messy face! It has to be said that she LOVES chocolate. Maybe it's a sign that I'm not the best mom, but she always knows when someone has chocolate in their hands and demands a piece of it too.

Adorable cake! Two things I love about 1-year-olds: 1-they eat with such enthusiasm and end up with the cake ALL OVER themselves; and 2-they're so happy with the wrappings that the gifts themselves take 2nd place! SO SWEET! All too soon they'll be wondering why they can't have game systems, new wardrobes, and then a car for their birthday!
I must say, though, my kids always have retained their sweet childlike appreciation for my gifts to them, no matter how humble. Bless your hearts!
