On Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch to find our pumpkins. The girls were both really excited and had a lot of fun looking at all the varieties of pumpkins and trying to choose the "perfect" pumpkin to carve. Funny thing is, when I was little I don't remember any variety but one, so there wasn't much choice. Nya always wants a white pumpkin because they are special (code for more expensive I think). So, here we are at the patch! Keira doesn't care what color her pumpkin is, but it HAS to be tiny. She doesn't like the big ones, just the "babies." Here she tries to decide which baby is the best one.

After all that walking and pumpkin choosing, it's time for a little rest. Say PUMPKIN!

When it was time to carve, Nya was pretty adventurous when it came to touching the slimy goo in the middle of the pumpkin. She thought it was kind of interesting.

Keira didn't like it! Her exact words were, "ooh grossy! I don't like that!" She did decide to try again and was a little more interested, but she painted her pumpkin instead this year.

Nya carved a kitty pumpkin. Here she shows us her kitty side (which honestly, we see a lot of--a little less now that she's getting older though.)

Our Happy pumpkin family! From L to R, Ryan's cheesy one (he usually goes with scary), my witch hat and bat, and Nya's kitty light up the night. Keira's is just glinting a bit with the light from the others.
